The Race...

The human race is one that is so full and trusted with many gifts. Our ability to speak and comprehend one another in not one but an abundance of languages worldwide is just simply intriguing... Whether from whatever faith man was trusted with such abilities is quite an elusive gesture... Simply because the very thing that makes us such a phenomenon to very other animal species, possibly makes us the greatest threat to ourselves. The context of being human is not paved in stone but we all seem to love the concept of building communities structured on vines of preconceived ideals and laws. Society which has clearly sprung from these veins, continues to educate us and conforms us to the probable normal. If life were a normal distribution where would you lie..?? Well I'm sure that life could never be contained, not in a bell curve and definitely not by the confines that humanity could define everything by...
When you look around, sometimes all you can see is the elusive nature of the homosapien. Racing to stay ahead, racing to grasp as much and learn as much, to ultimately become the very best of possible outcomes. That is the instruction of our DNA. Our journeys are governed by the destination, not the pace... One might even say that the actual journey carries more weight and meaning... But the human species seems to need little and little justification for their actions. More into the 21st century and man continues to erode the path he travels in and ultimately himself with it... We fight wars to stay safe from each other... Some use religion to front their desires and defend their actions... Ultimately we fight over religion, over race, over the color of our skin and one day we would probably end up fighting over something so meaningless like the color of our eyes. We reshape our endeavors most foolishly to suit our inner needs... But we fail to see that every man is cut from the same cloth... Instead we entertain ourselves in the failures of others and hope to see more failure and actual success...

We struggle our whole lives to find a place to fit in, to belong. We call our compassionate nature, human.. but a few actually hold the lives of other animals as dearly as that of another human being. Our planet may continue to sustain our ravaging attributes but at what cost... Our population continues to explode with absolutely complete disregard for the environment. Sometimes it is quite depressing to think of the future. One can only hope and pray that our children will get to see the beauty of our yesterdays and perhaps breath the same air that we do today... With such a complex neuronal network governing our body and our mind it is simply surprising how we continue to distort the fragile balance among ourselves and the earth, solely focusing on the differences of everyone and everything around us... Hope is all we have....
