Halloween IS coming

Digital costumes are always the best... especially when you don't have enough time for a real one...

The Facebook...

Social media websites like facebook or twitter have become a daily necessity, like brushing your teeth or as crucial as wearing underpants!!! It is a little bit weird however that, younger and younger individuals are allowed access to these forms of social media... There maybe sooo many advantages to that but I think its probably a little toooo early for most of them... Well back to the point of this blog post... So I was just thinking to myself about the fact that my sister keeps updating her facebook status almost every 6 hours in the least... I'm probably no better but I got to thinking... Imagine a young mother in the delivery room... Getting ready to bring a new life into this world... And while pushing.. She's updating her facebook... "HE'S HERE!!!!" LMAO... First of all... Kudos to all the mothers out there for that amazing miracle!!! And I am only joking... but seriously that would be hilarious!!!!

Just another random picture I took in Sri Lanka...

Belief...

"Faith is not belief without proof, but trust without reservation..."
   -   D. Elton Trueblood

You can have faith in the loudest words...
You could even light up a million stars...
And ultimately your life may speak for itself...
After all, actions do speak louder than words..
But one must always be true...
To their heart... To their conscience... To their soul...
Then... & only then will it matter...

You could probably fool everyone around you...
You could probably hide behind a hundred doors...
But karma...
Is a BITCH!!!!
& she will find you...
Or he... but I think its a "she"...

Moments...

Sometimes you make it a point to wake up at 5 am just to enjoy a view like this one....

View from The Ark, Matugama, Sri Lanka

I spent a lovely weekend with my sisters and brother there... More pictures to come!!!! If you ever visit Sri Lanka... You should definitely go there...

The Inspiration...

Its hard to inspire ones' soul,
When the world around you is often drowning your loudest thoughts,
And though your heart may beat, strong and fast,
And your warm heart fails to withstand the cold,
Its hard... To feel beyond reality,
To imagine the dream in which you dwell....

There is always going to be someone out there,
Who will freeze my moments,
And every dream there after,
Would house their presence eternally still...

To that very person my heart will belong,
My words will have meaning to them,
And their words will fill the missing gaps,
That my sorrows had become...

The memories that fill our lives,
Are often in sync with the choices we make,
Entangled with certain perceptions,
Particularly the ones we prefer to recall,
So I fill my memories with you...

I am no poet,
Nor have I been gifted with words,
But the words I seek before you know,
Are the words quite simple indeed...

With you, I am myself...
Complicated as can be,
As tall as my legs allow me to be...

And every time I see you smile, I smile...
Whenever I hear your voice, I m inclined to blush...
Happiness is indeed, for some... A choice...

This life we live is a dream in itself...
Our actions based on emotion,
The reactions full of feeling,

As life clearly prefers honesty...
I'd prefer to say to you...

Thou time runs fast,
And distance keeps us apart,
I'm sure beyond a reasonable doubt,
That I wanna keep falling in to you...
For as long as I can feel...

The...

“You see things; and you say, 'Why?' But I dream things that never were; and I say, 'Why not?'”

The Reality...

Life isn't easy...
Promises aren't really real...
Till of course they come true...

But happiness is a choice...
No matter what happens...
Sometimes.. the human spirit will continue to smile...

Despite all obstacles...
We love with our whole hearts...
We also fall apart with the same conviction...

Life isn't easy..
It never is...
But that doesn't mean we won't continue to dream...

The Treasured...

So as I was reading one of my old journals, I came across this poem I had written... Just thought I might share it with all of you...

Treasure your heart, for it maybe broken,
Treasure that opportunity to love, for it may be stolen,
And sometimes we forget the reason,
The reason behind our love,
Sometimes we forget how it feels,
To feel someone so close.

Its not easy to feel sorrow,
For every scar holds many tears,
Silence can dawn on every sorrow,
But love, it brings laughter...

From the 1st time we met to the 1st kiss,
From the 1st long walk we shared to the 1st "I love you",
These memories often captured and remembered,
Some memories we leave to fate, to forget... to fade...
The ones with the simplest words,
Carrying the weakest echos,
Such memories, so easily buried,
When uncovered...
May remember our story, the story of me and you...

Love is indescribable, Strong yet gentle,
Lives past time, Lives past reason,
We deny its existence, But feel its patience,
Fearful to hav a glimpse that face,
Afraid to feel so much more,
The heart holds on, so much longer,
Trying to deceive the mind...
Faith that something could come true...
Faith that reality is no dream...

Then someday when our heart screams for,
That very one we've hurt,
That very one we continue to love,
Hope continues to dine, deep in our souls,
That this very person,
Might return... Forgiven... Forgotten...
Just like before...

The Race...

The human race is one that is so full and trusted with many gifts. Our ability to speak and comprehend one another in not one but an abundance of languages worldwide is just simply intriguing... Whether from whatever faith man was trusted with such abilities is quite an elusive gesture... Simply because the very thing that makes us such a phenomenon to very other animal species, possibly makes us the greatest threat to ourselves. The context of being human is not paved in stone but we all seem to love the concept of building communities structured on vines of preconceived ideals and laws. Society which has clearly sprung from these veins, continues to educate us and conforms us to the probable normal. If life were a normal distribution where would you lie..?? Well I'm sure that life could never be contained, not in a bell curve and definitely not by the confines that humanity could define everything by...
When you look around, sometimes all you can see is the elusive nature of the homosapien. Racing to stay ahead, racing to grasp as much and learn as much, to ultimately become the very best of possible outcomes. That is the instruction of our DNA. Our journeys are governed by the destination, not the pace... One might even say that the actual journey carries more weight and meaning... But the human species seems to need little and little justification for their actions. More into the 21st century and man continues to erode the path he travels in and ultimately himself with it... We fight wars to stay safe from each other... Some use religion to front their desires and defend their actions... Ultimately we fight over religion, over race, over the color of our skin and one day we would probably end up fighting over something so meaningless like the color of our eyes. We reshape our endeavors most foolishly to suit our inner needs... But we fail to see that every man is cut from the same cloth... Instead we entertain ourselves in the failures of others and hope to see more failure and actual success...

Unawatuna, Sri Lanka

We struggle our whole lives to find a place to fit in, to belong. We call our compassionate nature, human.. but a few actually hold the lives of other animals as dearly as that of another human being. Our planet may continue to sustain our ravaging attributes but at what cost... Our population continues to explode with absolutely complete disregard for the environment. Sometimes it is quite depressing to think of the future. One can only hope and pray that our children will get to see the beauty of our yesterdays and perhaps breath the same air that we do today... With such a complex neuronal network governing our body and our mind it is simply surprising how we continue to distort the fragile balance among ourselves and the earth, solely focusing on the differences of everyone and everything around us... Hope is all we have....
