The Wedding...

What exactly constitutes a happy marriage... I have absolutely no idea... Is it love?? understanding?? honesty?? or all of the above and more??? The majority of the examples I have seen in my life are rather poor... Its actually a given that love is universal but it just isn't enough unless your willing to TRY... But then again maybe LOVE is all you need to keep trying... Trying to work out the issues despite detrimental circumstances... Impossible?? who knows!! Is it even a question why most of my generation and the ones that follow hold marriage to be quite a joke... Lets not talk about Kim Kardashian.. :P :D :P But on a serious note, its not really right for us to judge a union that we know little about.
Its no secret that I came from a broken family, maybe of course to my adoring public viewing this blog... yea its new information! My parents parted in very good terms or so I believe, as friends you could say... Most people actually find it funny that my mum and step mum are good friends... Well life is FULL of surprises!!!! Today it is hard to hold on to any belief with unshakeable conviction, simply because it has become convenient to question everything and anything in general... What is commitment?? when it is so easy for anyone to just give up, just walk away or even just call off a wedding...
Based solely on a contract that keeps two people together, dressed in flowers and fabric, yet grown into traditions so diverse and breath taking, it's one of those social norms that just keeps growing in structure and meaning... The preparation, the brilliant colors and amazing people that come together to celebrate two people and their commitment, it is quite extraordinary. I was most recently exposed to a wedding, my sisters and hence my long vacation over in Sri Lanka... There was so much planning and work that went into it... And finally she took the leap...

Maybe not everyone is meant to tie the knot but these 2 love birds were most definitely meant to be together... Some couples are meant to end up together and I am so glad that my sis found the love of her life... Their connection is quite evident especially to people that know them personally... Their union is something that gives me faith about finding the one... n getting hitched!! :P :P

I dedicate this post to my Sis & Bro-in-law, may you always be happy and treasure each other.... Love U Always!!!

So what's my ultimate opinion when it comes to marriage?? Marriage is a challenge, when you think about it, every relationship is.... And not many of us  might be willing to take it up and the few of us that do... Well... I do salute you!!!! Cause its not happily ever after from there... Its a whole big adventure you take with someone... Who will guide you when its too dark to see... Who will cuddle you when its too cold and who will hold your hand... Just to show you that they are there for you... Right there...  It may not be all hugs and kisses along the way but as long as you keep trying, keep loving, I doubt that you could go wrong...

The Flight...

To my adoring fans and followers, the countable 3... :P :D :) I apologize for my tardiness in updating my blog... So here's my first blog post after my long vacation in Sri Lanka...
What do we think about flying??? Before flying existed, people had to resort to ships and perhaps hot air balloons, or even blimps. Our world is changing sooo fast, especially the way we look at things and so there is almost always a constant wave of new things coming our way, take for instance the new iphone...
Traveling with friends is pretty much the best way to travel, but traveling all by yourself is sometimes an excruciating experience especially the long haul flights with the connections. I had to make 2 connections and the overall trip basically lasted over 24 hours... I flew Jet airways on one sector and the other was Air Canada, but I must say I enjoyed the AC sector. Flights can get really full and sometimes you may even feel claustrophobic, which happens when the air conditioning is on the low down, but this almost never happens. Leg SPACE!!!!!! There should be even space to twist your feet in whatever direction possible, after all you need to keep the blood in your lower extremities moving... If your one of those people who enjoy walking about aisles, well good for you but look out for turbulence... I always wondered what would happen if there was severe turbulence and someone was in the toilet at the time. :P :P :P....
What do we think about flight food?... I enjoy the food on a flight... I actually do... at least 90% of the time... I especially love the snack (the wrap) provided close to decent on the Air Canada flight... Unfortunately the wrap is not sold retail!!! It is only sold wholesale and from the UK!!!
When I take a flight, I prefer the window set... This allows me to enjoy the amazing view from around 40 000 feet up in the air and this avoids moving about for the individuals who wish to use the washrooms every 15 min. The pitfalls of this seat which I encountered this time is when the eager beavers seated next to me, wish to enjoy the same scenery... Fortunately I'm not selfish and I will share the window, but when it involves someone who clearly needs a breath mint... "EMMMERF."   Life at 40 000 or whatever feet is prettty awesome....
When morning comes...

Enjoying oneself on a flight is the most important thing and kudos to both airlines for a gr8 selection in movies!! The closest thing to the best feeling aboard an air craft is when you’re just about to doze off to sleep. THEN SUDDENLY you hear a baby crying!!!! I can't wait to have a family and take them on a flight... Each and every one of you must get to know that feeling!! :P
Being frisked is the best part of flying... When they feel the need to even examine your zipper... "oh!! OHHHHH okie!!!!" now that's uncomfortable!!!!... But honestly a big thanks to the mates at the security counters for helping make flying SAFE, that is from the human factor. After a long wait to be frisked and felt up you need to RUN!!! to your connecting flight... especially when your transit is only 3 hours at that airport... What the travel agent doesn’t tell you is that the plane will land at 7am but it will only actually allow you to disembark when it gets to the terminal... so maybe even 15-30 minutes later... So short transits are risky, you may end up missing the flight... I checked in with only 2 minutes to spare... *sigh*
But when your back home and just enjoying your own sheets and pillows... "hmmmm" There's obviously no place like HOMEEEEEE....
