It was an anniversary for some,

It was a birthday for everyone ,

It was an opportunity for most,

And a lesson for all...

Now a memory...

As we heal with scars,
Some deep...
Some swallow...

As we reminisce over so much...

Lets hope for a peaceful beginning...
With as much blissful ignorance of our troubles...

& harbor not more hatred...

Let's give ourselves a chance...

To live... To make right... To make mistakes...

And make resolutions which we hardly stick to... 

Get drunk...

And create some hideous dance moves...

Adore the bright lights,
